Prof. Dr. Tamyko Ysa is the Professor of Strategy and Public Management at ESADE, Barcelona and President of the Esade faculty as well as a Member of the Esade Executive Committee (CEX). She is also a member of the expert committee for the reform of the Catalan Health System, and member of the academic committee of the Agenda 2030 of the Barcelona City Council, for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, UN). She was previously the Vice-Dean for Research at ESADE Law and Business Schools (2014-2019), and Principal Investigator of the Research Group on "Leadership and Innovation in the Public Sector" (2005-17).
She has a PhD in Political Science (University of Barcelona), Executive Master in Public Management (EMPA, ESADE), Master in Public Administration and Public Policy (LSE), Bachelor in Political Science and Bachelor in Law. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of St Gallen (Switzerland), Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and the London School of Economics (UK). She was also a Fellow at the Aspen Institute Spain.
Her main research interests are network management, governance of complex systems, leadership and innovation, business-government relations, and non market strategy. Her research has been published in Journal of Public Administration and Theory, International Journal of Public Sector Management, Public Management Review, Oxford University Press, Palgrave McMillan and Edward Elgar.
